Why do you bother keeping track of this stuff? Isn't it obvious?

Sadly, many people are not clued into the slipshod, two-faced reality of Slashdot. Many people view the site with rose colored glasses, or simply haven't been subject to the wrath of the editors yet. We have taken it upon ourselves to shed light on this widespread ignorance.

You have some "injustices" that are just simple mistakes on behalf of the editors. Aren't the Slashdot editors regular people that make honest mistakes?

Of course. Our indignation is not that the editors made a mistake- it's that these mistakes are so routinely uncaught, due to a complete lack of quality control in the production of Slashdot. The editors are professional journalists that make their living doing this. They have millions of visitors, and are hugely influential. Given this, their track record is worse than most amateur "hobbyist" sites. We feel that the mistakes made by the Slashdot editors are demonstrative of the greater problem- arrogant and inept editors.

Also, keep in mind that different people respond to a specific shortcoming. Some people are disgusted with the unprofessional manner in which the site is run. Some people are outraged by the misinformation spread and encouraged by the editors. Some people are upset to see the use of editor priviliges exercised so poorly. We publish all manner of injustices, so that we can reach out to all people.
